  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a spectrum condition that affects individuals in varying degrees. Common core symptoms of ASD include impaired social interactions, repetitive behaviors, and severely restricted interests. These symptoms can manifest in different ways and with varying degrees of severity. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States as of a 2018 study. That statistic may be even higher today. It is important to note that every individual with ASD is unique and may experience different challenges and strengths. A diagnosis of ASD can help individuals and their families access support and resources to improve their quality of life.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy, also known as ABA, is the most effective therapy proven to make significant and long lasting changes in the lives of children with Autism. ABA therapy is provided by assessing a clients motivation and reinforcing behaviors that target the individual child’s goals. This include increasing communication, appropriate behaviors in new environments and social skills.

  • Assessments are important evaluations to determine your child's current skills and abilities, with a focus on their language and communication abilities, social behavior, and interaction skills. These assessments may cover a range of areas to help identify areas where the child may need additional support or resources. Ultimately, the goal of assessments is to create a roadmap for your child's growth and development, helping them reach their full potential in all areas of their life.

  • A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. These individuals assess, collaborate with parents to create goals, provide parent training, provide supervision for technicians, and create programs and behavior plans.

  • A Behavior Technician provides the direct one-on-one therapy to the children. The behavior technician is trained by a BCBA and receives weekly supervision.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy can be beneficial for everyone! However, our clinic and staff our trained to work with Children diagnosed with Autism. We currently begin the intake process with children between the ages of 2 and 7 years old. An official Autism Diagnosis will be required at the start of the intake process.

  • Many private insurance providers require autism evaluations to be completed through an Approved Autism Evaluation Center (AAEC) in order for autism therapies, including applied behavior analysis, to be reimbursed. There are several qualified specialty areas for diagnosing autism, including Developmental/Behavioral Pediatricians, Child Psychiatrists & Psychologists, and Pediatric Neurologists.
